RATING MULTIPLIER

 

The national non-domestic rating multiplier is the rate in the pound by which the rateable value is multiplied to produce the annual rate bill for a property. It is set annually by the Government and except in a revaluation year, cannot, by law, rise by more than the amount of the increase in the retail prices index.  The multipliers for 2011/12 are:

 

Standard rating multiplier 43.3p  (0.433)
Small business rates rating

42.6p  (0.426)

 

 

The Provisional Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier for 2012/13

The provisional Small Business Non Domestic Rating Multiplier for 2012/13 has been announced as 45p

 

The supplement to fund SBRR will be 0.8p therefore the Provisional Non Domestic Rating Multiplier for 2012/13 is 45.8p
