Closed Churchyards

A closed churchyard is a churchyard which has been closed to any further burial or internment.

There are a number of closed churchyards throughout the Borough, but the following four closed churchyards are maintained by Melton Borough Council:

• St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray;
• Sysonby Church, Sysonby Grange Lane, Melton Mowbray;
• St Peter's Church, Stonesby; 
• St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Frisby on the Wreake.
