Foot and Mouth Disease
Following extensive surveillance work, and there having been no
further cases of FMD discovered, all remaining movement
restrictions relating to FMD-susceptible animals and trade within
the EU have been lifted.

Bluetongue disease
Defra has announced that the Bluetongue Protection Zones have
been further extended, following the delivery of additional doses
of Bluetongue vaccine.
Vaccination is only permitted within the Protection Zone. In
accordance with the Bluetongue vaccination plan, the Protection
Zone will be extended to cover Worcestershire and the districts in
North Yorkshire (Scarborough, Ryedale, Hambleton & Harrogate),
Cheshire (Macclesfield, Congleton & Crewe and Nantwich) and
Greater Manchester (Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside and Stockport)
previously in the Surveillance Zone.
