Pride In Melton
The pride weeks take place over the summer holidays and are a
multi-agency initiative which has developed from the Decent Place
to Live group and involve a week of activities in one area to
engage with the community. Activities include a clean up of
the whole estate with a community litter pick, removal of graffiti,
fly tipping and identifying any areas for physical
improvement. Throughout the week the neighbourhood has a
number of family and community events and opportunities to engage
with police officers and local agencies offering a range of advice
to residents. Pride 2010 was a
great success with community activities, environmental
improvements and the opening of the Multi-Use Games areas.
