Cafe Concession Three Year Lease Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a café operator with strong business acumen to take over a successful operating business to provide catering facilities at the Visitors' Centre at Melton Country Park, Melton Mowbray.  The existing operator has established a vibrant and viable café and hires out the meeting room to various groups and organisations.

 

  • On 1st February 2012 Melton Borough Council approved their budget for 2012-13, setting out how much money they will receive and how much will be available to spend.
  • We have secured another successful benefit fraud prosecution. Benefit Fraud is taken very seriously and the Council has a strong record of successful benefit investigations over the last year, reinforcing our commitment to pursue benefit fraudsters.
  • The Borough Council approved its Medium Term Financial Strategy for the next 3 years at a meeting of the Council's Policy, Finance and Administration Committee held on 25 January 2012.
  • The Council is pleased to announce that the contract with Sainsbury’s for the acquisition of its Nottingham Road site has now been completed.
  • The Trustees of Voluntary Action Melton would like to respond to the two interviews which took place on Radio Leicester today – 27 January 2012.
  • Melton Borough Council will be collecting personal information from customers for one week as part of a pilot scheme. This follows recent guidance published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
  • We have been successful in securing £195,000 from the Department of Health to spend on helping vulnerable householders to heat their homes.
  • A major overhaul of waste collection services, which will include simpler ‘co-mingled’ recycling for householders as well as bringing about big savings in the scheme’s £2.4m operating costs, has been approved by Melton councillors.
  • Local residents will have another opportunity to attend a public exhibition and view plans for new housing development to the north of Melton.
