Development at New Council Offices Site

Building work  is being slightly delayed following asbestos being found  by Hallams Contracts Ltd on the site of the new Council Offices. 

David Blanchard from MBC said:

“A substance the contractor recognised  as potentially being asbestos was found on the site. Tests have confirmed it is asbestos and it is therefore being dealt with safely in line with  the guidelines and as advised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), by our contractor. “

Work on the site is due to resume after today.
