NOTICE OF MAKING OFF-STREET PARKING ORDER 2009
The introduction of new Government legislation on the 31st March
2008 requires the Council to update its Off-Street Places Order to
take account of the Traffic Management Act 2004. A Notice of
Variation was issued prior to March 2008 to account for the new
legislation, however a new Order is now being issued in order to
consolidate and simplify the existing orders, and to bring the
Burton Street Car Parks and resident/visitor parking areas under
the order.
The changes can be summarised as follows:
- Change the Order to include new off-street parking proposals
for Burton Street, Melton Mowbray.
- Change the Order to include new off-street parking proposals
for resident/visitor parking in the Melton Borough. It is not the
intention of the new Order to introduce charing into these
areas.
