On Tuesday 13 October in the Town, Cattle Market and George Hotel a good number of residents had the opportunity to speak with a team of Council Officers and professionals including Architects, Project Managers and other specialists about the new Council Offices.

The village roadshows over 2 weeks have also provided residents with the local opportunity to provide feedback on the designs.

The Council has commented that overall the feedback has been very positive and the Council has listened to a variety of views and is making changes to the design following this feedback. This is feeding into the submission of a planning application at the end of October 2009. A large number of people were very supportive of the Council ‘just getting on with it’ and are looking forward to the new offices opening in 2011.
