NEW COUNCIL OFFICES FINAL DESIGN

Through many iteriations the final design of
Melton Borough Council Offices has been approved by Councillors and
submitted as a planning application.

Numerous options for the façade and materials
were discussed through consultation and refined to find a careful
balance between civic image and practical function. A
detailed landscape scheme was developed taking into account the
overall design concept and the responses from the public and
interest group consultations.
The result of the extensive consultation and
design development is a building which the Council believes
befitting of its Civic function and location, which reflects the
forward thinking and progressive attitude of the Council, and one
that will significantly improve this long-vacant but landmark
site.
