PARKING OPTIONS AT GROVE SCHOOL
PRESS RELEASE
23 June 2009
Following representations from the school, parents and ward
councillors various options to try to find a solution to parking
issues at the Grove School will be considered by Councillors on 23
June 2009 at Rural, Economic and Environmental Affairs
Committee.
The school has identified that the narrow access road and small
car park is a concern. The area can become very congested and
difficult for parents to safely drop off and collect their
children. The Council has been working with the school to try to
help find a solution.
Councillor Nigel Angrave said "We will work with the County
Council to find a longer term solution to this problem. In the
meantime at Melton Borough Council we recognise there are issues
and concerns and the Committee has some options that officers have
developed for them to consider."
