CONSTITUENCY ELECTION MAY 6TH 2010
ELECTION RESULTS : ALAN DUNCAN RE-ELECTED

Following a long night’s counting of votes at the Melton Mowbray
Cattle Market, Alan Duncan was re-elected as the Member of
Parliament for the Rutland and Melton Constituency.
After his election triumph was announced at 4.40 on Friday
morning, Mr. Duncan thanked the Mayor as Returning Officer,
those involved at the polling stations and at the count, his
fellow candidates, his own supporters and most of all the voters of
Rutland and Melton for putting confidence in him with such a large
majority.
The turnout was 71.72% and the result for each candidate is as
follows:-
