Campaigns & Current Work

Following on from Sarah Boyce's origional Manifesto, Sarah is campaigning to lower bus prices for young people.  Sarah has developed a petition, which so far has attracted nearly 300 signatures from young people and students accross Melton.  The petition will be presented at the end of January 2012.

Sarah Boyce has also Chaired the Youth Council since her election in October 2011.  Sarah has been working with the Youth Council on organising a youth festival in the summer of 2012.  It is hoped that the youth festival will showcase the talents of young people and give young people an opportunity to get involved.  A lot more work is needed on this and any young people who are interested in getting involved, please read more about the Youth Council.

In her role as Young Mayor Sarah has been to various School Councils to find out more about any issues or projects that young people are talking about.  Some of these issues have been raised to Melton Borough Council at the Full Council meeting which was held in December.
