Building Design
In addition to its statutory duties to determine applications
for Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent and Conservation
Area Consent, the Council provides free advice on the design
aspects of new developments, particularly where there are
conservation issues or they involve an historic building or its
setting.
The Council's Conservation Officer advises on proposals for
development, particularly within conservation areas and relating to
listed buildings.Advice can be obtained either in writing or by
holding a meeting with the Conservation
Officer or another appropriately qualified Member of
staff.
