Information for Businesses on the Food Hygiene Rating
Scheme
Your certificate will be based on the last
inspection carried out.
Scores of 5 will be published as soon as possible on the
website.
Scores ranging from 0 to 4 will have publication delayed for up
to 28 days in order that the proper appeals process time period can
be allowed to elapse.
Appealing your score
If you wish to appeal the score given you
should download the FHRS Appeal Form (pdf) and submit
this to Melton Borough Council Environmental Health before the end
of the appeal period.
Requesting a reinspection
If you have not achieved the top score of 5
but have carried out all the works advised by the inspector and now
wish to be reassessed you can apply for a reinspection using the
FHRS reinspection
form. Again this should be submitted to Environmental
Health.
