Heating a poorly insulated house is just like throwing money down the drain, the picture below shows the percentage of heat that is lost from each area of a poorly insulated house.

If you received a questionnaire on this you will be providing Melton Borough Council with the information it needs to comply with Local Government Performance Indicator NI 187. This allows us to target those properties which are cold and energy inefficient and you may even qualify for free or discounted improvements such as insulation and heating. Ensuring that a property is energy efficient means that people have to spend less money to stay warm and reduces their carbon foot print.
