GYPSY & TRAVELLER Accommodation needs assessment
2006-2016
In 2006 Leicestershire authorities of
Leicestershire County, Leicester City, Rutland County, Blaby
District, Charnwood Borough, Harborough District, Hinckley &
Bosworth Borough, Melton Borough, North West Leicestershire
District and Oadby & Wigston Borough commissioned the Centre
for Urban and Regional Studies at the University of Birmingham,
with John Bloxsom of John Bloxsom Housing Services, to carry out a
Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Needs Assessment for the Study
Area of Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.
This was designed to assess both the current
situation with regard to demographics, health, facilities etc and
to suggest future requirements.
