Pollution AND NUISANCE
The Environmental Health section of Melton
Borough Council is responsible for investigating complaints and
enforcing legislation about many types of pollution in the
Borough and is able to offer advice and assistance to alleviate any
nuisance.
The Council also has a responsibility for the
authorisation of certain industrial processes likely to cause
pollution. Please see the separate section on Air Pollution for further
information. The burning of non domestic waste on bonfires at
business premises is enforced by the
Environment Agency.
