How to apply for a permit 

Companies carrying out processes that could potentially cause emissions to either air, land or water must hold a permit. To find out whether or not your company needs to apply for a permit please visit the DEFRA (Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) website, or contact Environment Health.

Application for a Permit - Part B Application Form

Please return 3 copies of your completed application form, together with the appropriate fee, to Environmental Health, Council Offices, Nottingham Road, Melton Mowbray, LE13 0UL.

For advice on the fee and completing the application forms or the regulations please contact us.  Fees for authorisation/permits are set by Central Government.

Any company, which already holds a permit and wishes to vary the permit conditions or wishes to make a change to their installation may apply to do so by completing the relevant application form.
