What should I do if I see someone fly-tipping?
If possible make a note of the vehicle type, colour and
registration and a description of the person fly-tipping. Report
the incident to us even if you were not able to take these
details. Please try to provide
us with a clear description of both the type of materials involved
and the exact location.

This is a responsive service reacting to notification from
others. The service deals with rubbish and other unwanted items
that have been dumped illegally.
Any details or descriptions that customer can provide when
reporting fly-tipping may be useful for enforcement or prosecution
and to help prevent a recurrence.
Melton Borough Council will endeavour to remove fly tips from
public land within 24hrs of reporting
The Environment Agency is responsible for dealing with
large incidents of fly-tipping or those which cause pollution to
watercourses or are a major hazard.
