How to Apply for an animal boarding licence

Please complete the application form and submit this with your payment of the fee to Melton Borough Council.   The fee from April 2010 is £90.00.

Once received your application will be assessed by Environmental Health and the Animal Licensing Officer/Dog Warden and your premises will be subject to an inspection.  Provided the results are satisfactory then a licence with conditions will be issued.

Licences run from January to December each year and are renewable by December 31st. There are no pro-rata refunds for applications made part way through a year.

If you are considering opening a new animal boarding establishment you are advised to speak to our Animal Licensing Officer in Environmental Health for advice and also ensure you have any necessary planning permissions.
