MAKING an appointment with the pest control officer

If you would like the Pest Control officer to treat a pest, please contact Customer Services on (01664) 502502 to request an appointment. Please have as much detail to hand regarding the pest, including:

  • The type of pest, if known;
  • The location of the pest/infestation;
  • Your contact details.

The Pest Control Officer or a colleague will then usually call you back between the hours of 9am and 5pm in order to make an appointment. Please make sure that you are available on the number given to Customer Services between these times. Please also note that you will usually need to be on the premises when the Pest Control Officer arrives in order to allow access to the site. If the site of the infestation is accessible from the outside of the property, and you do not therefore need to be on site with the Pest Control Officer when he treats the problem, please mention this when you call to request an appointment.

Please bear in mind that there is a charge for the Pest Control service, and that pests can often be treated by the householder in a variety of simple ways. For more information, please see the other pages of the Pest Control section of the website, which contains advice and information on the ways you can treat pests.

We will endeavour to respond to requests for appointments within two weeks, however, at busy times of year this cannot be guaranteed.

If you make an appointment, but are not there when the Pest Control Officer arrives, a card will be left asking you to call Customer Services again. The Pest Control officer will not re-visit until you call again.

How do I pay for the service?

An invoice will be sent out to you once the Pest Control Officer has visited to treat the problem. There are then various methods of paying for this invoice, including by post, online, at any post office, payzone, PayPoint or e-pay outlet or over the telephone.
