Demolitions – enforcement
Introduction
Demolition in some circumstances requires the
benefit of planning permission, listed building consent,
conservation area consent and approval under the Building
Regulations.
Where the appropriate consents have not been
obtained, the Council has powers to take action to either prevent
or stop the demolition, or intervene to ensure the works are
undertaken safely and the site is left in a safe
condition.
