Studies, Reports and other evidence

Local development documents must be soundly based in terms of their content and the process by which they are produced. They must also be based upon a robust, credible evidence base.

A range of background studies have been undertaken to inform the preparation of the Core Strategy. We also refer to studies and reports undertaken or commissioned by other bodies. The studies, documents and other sources of information listed below are relevant to the Core Strategy and can be downloaded by clicking on the links provided.

Many of the studies listed below are relevant to the 'Direction of Growth' for new development at Melton Mowbray. However, there is also a page on this site which deals purely with the Direction of Growth and associated evidence.
