Rutland - Melton International CiCLE Classic

Britain's longest running one day International cycle race and arguably the biggest single day sporting event in the East Midlands.


195km Professional Men’s cycle road race between the towns of Oakham and Melton.  One of only five British events forming part of the Union Cycliste Internationale’s Europe Tour calendar.

Britain’s longest running single day international cycle road race over a unique on and off road route which takes the competitors just over 4 and a half hours to complete, and its final 20 km of racing played out in and around Melton with its finish right in the town centre.

Old Dalby Day

A full day of family entertainment including street market, craft stalls, horticultural show, dog show, vintage cars and live music!



Old Dalby Day takes place on the August Bank Holiday Monday every year - and has done for 30 years, providing a full day of family entertainment in a traditional village setting.


It’s a great value day out for everyone, with only £5 per car for parking, which also includes a programme of the day and its many events and attractions.

Fill your car with family and friends and they all get in for a fiver!  Games, attractions, rides, entertainment, bands, over 100 classic cars, dog show and many stalls and outlets.

The day raises important funds for charities and supports groups and local businesses in our community including the school, nursery, scouts, church, community causes and cricket club to name a few.
