Business Support Hub (COVID-19)

In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, a range of resources have been made available to businesses to support them through this period.  Melton Borough Council is responsible for assessing and issuing many of the national grants to those local businesses who are eligible to receive it.

We are continuously reviewing the latest information and updates will be made regularly on this page.

Government Business Grants

From 5 January 2021 onwards there are 3 grants schemes available to support businesses:

  • Local Restriction Support grant – Closed addendum (LRSG – CA) January 5 onwards
  • Closed Business Lockdown Payment (CBLP)
  • Additional Restriction Grant

Have you already submitted an application since 5 November 2020?

If you have submitted an application form for any of the previous schemes from November onwards we will be in contact with you via email to inform you of the next steps you should take. If you have submitted an application but have not received an email from the Council please email us at and identify your business name and the applicant who applied previously and we will send you the email you need to fill in to be considered for the new grant schemes.

Are you yet to apply for a grant since 5 November 2020?

If you have not applied for these government grants but believe you may be eligible please submit a grant application form (via the button below) and you will be considered for all the schemes currently available from 5 November onwards.

Some businesses may find themselves in the position where they can support the local community. Whether this is access to surplus stock that may otherwise go to waste, the ability to assist those in our rural communities get to appointments or the capacity to undertake basic tasks for vulnerable members of our community; all offers of support are essential in navigating through these challenging times.
