Council Housing Rent
At Melton Borough Council we're aware that running a home is
about more than just paying the rent each week.There are other
expenses, such as Council Tax and
gas and electricity bills, we try to keep council rents as low as
possible while making sure we still have money to maintain and
improve services.
It is a condition of your tenancy agreement that the rent is
paid each week. It is a breach of your tenancy if you miss
payments and legal action can be taken. From the start of your
tenancy, you are advised how important it is for you to make
regular payments.
