Alterations to your home

If you would like to make any alteration to your home you need to apply to Melton Borough Council in writing stating what you would like to do. You must not carry out any work until you have written consent from the Repairs and Improvement team, and it is your responsibility to ensure any Planning and/or Building regulations approval is obtained. Any associated costs are to be borne by the tenant.

The Repairs and Improvements team will then assess your application and inform you in writing of their decision. Upon completion of such work, it is required that the Repairs and Improvements team are informed in writing so that their records can be updated.
