Reporting a repair
Repairs
Council tenants are expected to report any faults as soon as
they occur. To report a repair please phone Melton Borough Council
on 01664 502502 with your name, address, contact details, a
detailed description of the fault and access details for the
contractor. If the repair is an emergency, it may not be possible
to contact you prior to the operatives visit. In these instances, a
card with contact details will be left to allow for the appointment
to be re-arranged.
Inspections
In many cases, our Customer Services team will recommend that an
inspection be carried out. The inspector will endeavour to contact
you to arrange a suitable time to visit your property, but if the
inspection is urgent this may not be possible. If the inspector
needs access to the property, a card will be left with contact
details on allowing for the appointment to be re-arranged.
Out-Of-Hours
If you are reporting a fault or problem outside of the Councils
working hours, please phone 01664 502502 and follow the
instructions. Please note that you should only phone the council's
out-of-hours standby officer in the event of an emergency.
