RESIDENT INVOLVEMENT
We believe that resident
involvement is a vital part of Housing Management. It is only by
working in partnership with residents that Melton Borough Council
can provide the best possible housing service.
Resident Involvement has
been very successful over the years and enables tenants to have a
direct involvement in council housing issues and service
delivery.
The Council benefits from
being able to gather the views and knowledge of people living in
council property. It's YOUR ideas and involvement which can
lead to fundamental changes within the housing services for the
benefit of all.
Melton Borough Council
takes Resident Involvement very seriously - we see it as the key to
improving our service for you. Melton Borough Council has a
strong relationship with The Tenants Forum Executive Committee
(TFEC) and is supported by the Resident Involvement
Officer, Sam Spencer.
Our aims for Resident
Involvement are to:
- Keep tenants informed
- Provide effective methods of
consultation
- Develop an active partnership with
tenants
- Provide a range of opportunities for tenants
to become involved in
- Listen to what tenants have to say
Any council tenant or
leaseholder can become involved in this decision making process and
have their voice heard.
There are many ways in
which you can become involved, including:
- Being a tenant representative
- Taking part in working groups
- Taking part in various surveys
