We opened our doors to the public in September 2011 in association with our partners. Now three years later there has been a visible transformation of the former derelict and neglected “ town station site” . The new modern design Council offices at Parkside are surrounded by beautiful heritage gardens and dog sculptures representing the working dogs of Melton.
A new footpath link besides Play Close shortens the walk from Melton train station to the town centre and a new boundary wall and railings has been built alongside the footpath. Burton Street car park has been properly surfaced for the first time in decades and regeneration has spread down the historic Burton Street with a new mix of food and retail shops opening , and also some of the well established businesses have been re-furbished and re-vitalised.
