Town Centre prevention groups

Information on the action being taken by Melton Borough Council and partner agencies to prevent and tackle Anti-Social Behaviour in Melton Town Centre.

  • Town Centre Residents Group - Engages with local residents to tackle issues and improve the area for local people. In addition it develops activities and events for local residents. Meetings are held periodically.
  • Police: Town Centre Beat Surgery - Opportunity for local residents to raise issues with the police and for the police to feed back to local residents. This coincides with the Town Centre residents group.
  • Local Beat Team: Town Centre - Your Local Beat Team for the Town Centre is headed by PC 4300 Lindsey Booth.  To speak to Lindsey or any member of the beat team please ring the Police non-emergency number 101.
  • Impact Team - The IMPACT team, a group of Leicestershire County Council funded youth workers, are currently working with young people in your area to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour. If you would like a visit from the IMPACT team to discuss any issues that you are experiencing please ask your customer service adviser.
