Melton Borough Council

All Council Tax bills in the Melton Borough are showing a 3.1% increase for the LCC element of the 2018/19 bill. The bill should show a 3.0% increase.

The error has occurred with the percentage comparison of the LCC elements in the 2018/19 bill with the 2017/18 bill. Please be assured that the charges within the bill are correct.

Remove a dead animal from public space

You can use the form below to report a dead animal on open or public land:

Report a dead animal

The council will remove dead animals (such as: dogs, cats, ponies, horses, badgers, foxes and deer) from open spaces that are accessible to the public. This includes pavements and highways. We do not normally remove smaller animals and birds, in these instances nature is allowed to take its course.

Please note: landowners are responsible for dead animals on their own property and we cannot remove dead pets from domestic homes.
