Statement of Accounts
The Statement of Accounts produced for each financial year provides information about the expenditure and income of our services and our assets and liabilities at the year end. It also contains a summarised statement of capital expenditure, a cash flow statement and the pension fund accounts.
The Narrative Statement is new and includes comments by the Council on its financial performance, efficiency and effectiveness in its use of resources over the financial year.
The Publication Statement for the Final Accounts is the Notice of Conclusion of Audit. It is a requirement under Section 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and gives details of where copies of the accounts can be accessed or purchased.
The Annual Governance Statement provides summarised details of the assurances and evidence that is in place in order to demonstrate compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance. This code covers the principles underpinning governance.
The Audit Letter is the results of our external auditors examination of the Statement of Accounts.
