Armed Forces Community Covenant

Supporting armed forces personnel and veterans

Armed forces covenant logo

Melton Borough Council is committed to supporting armed forces personnel and veterans as part of the Armed Forces Community Covenant.

This is a scheme which promotes understanding and raises awareness of the issues affecting veterans and their families, within the local community. It aims to better help and support existing and ex-Armed Forces personnel and their families.

The operational site for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre relocated to Stanford Hall in 2018 from Headley Court. As a council we want to help members of our community settle into the area quickly and with minimal upheaval. We also want to offer advice and support for armed forces personnel already in the community.

Our Armed Forces Member Support

Councillor Alan Pearson's role is to ensure that commitment to the Community Covenant is embedded at the highest levels within the council.  He is happy to offer advice, support or signpost to those in or out of the forces.
