My Account

We are asking you to get online and sign up for My account. Using our services online will save you time, gives you more control and you can now access council services out of hours.

Creating an account is easy and takes a couple of minutes all you need to get started is an email address.

Create an account

 

  1. Go to create account and complete the fields.
  2. You will then be sent an email to activate your account.
  3. Once activated, you can log in, then immediately register for the services listed below.

Services that are available online

If you register for MyAccount you will be able to securely access the following range of services:

Council Tax:
• View your account
• Set up, amend or cancel your Direct Debit
• Apply for Single Persons Discount
• Check your Valuation Band
• Make a payment
• Apply for a refund if you have overpaid
• Tell us if you have moved home

Please note: To access your council tax account online, you must be the person liable to pay the bill. If you are not currently shown as liable or if your bill is addressed to 'the council tax payer', you must ensure you register your details by telephone on 01664 502 502 before you request to view your account online. Council tax accounts in the names of businesses cannot be registered.

• Make a new claim for Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support
• Report a change in circumstances

If you hold a joint tenancy or are partners with a housing benefit and/or council tax support claimant, only the claimant can register to view the council tax and/ or housing benefit accounts.
