Livestock and other markets take place regularly at Melton Mowbray Cattle Market. These markets include:

Livestock Markets

Livestock Markets take place every Tuesday throughout the year. Livestock on sale includes: cattle (store, finished, clean, OTM and OCDS); calves; bulls; lambs (prime and store); ewes and sheep (finished and breeding). Antiques & Collectors Markets

A very popular antiques and craft market, where you can pick up anything from silver and brass objects to jewellery and postcards, takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8am – 1.30pm.

Farmers' Markets

Farmers' Markets take place every Tuesday and Friday from 8am – 12pm, and have an excellent reputation throughout the Borough for the quality of produce on offer. Fur and Feather

Fur and feather auctions at Melton Mowbray Cattle Market also include the sale of game in season, eggs (hatching and culinary), timber, pets, rare breeds, plants, Christmas poultry and other sundries. Auctions are held every Tuesday at 9.45am, and every Saturday when a horse sale is being held.

Horse Sales

Horse Sales are usually held every first and third Saturday of the month. Sales of tack begin at 10.30am, with vehicles sold at 11.45am, and horses and ponies at 12 noon.

Car Boot Sales

Car Boot Sales take place every Sunday, with sporadic sales occasionally arranged on Fridays as well. Gates open at 7.30am for sellers, and 8.30am for buyers. Get there early to grab a bargain!
