Melton Borough Council Work Based Activities
We are
officially Europe's hardest working nation but the increase in
sedentary desk jobs coupled with car commutes can leave their mark
on our waistline and, more importantly, our health. Therefore, the
Active Together Melton team has been working hard with Melton
Borough Council employees to encourage them to lead
a healthy balanced lifestyle. A range of lunchtime activities has
been introduced, including Badminton, Swimming and Yoga, as well as
half price swimming passes to Waterfield Leisure Pools. The Active
Together Melton team has also put on an annual healthy living
event where advice on healthy eating, exercise, and methods
of keeping a healthy posture was given. If you would like more
information on how to introduce any of these schemes into your
workplace please contact us on the numbers above.
