Not sure what career path you'd like to take? Considering going back in to education or training? Business2Business can support you!

New to Me and My Learning in 2017 we are working alongside various other areas in Leicestershire to deliver a brand new project funded by the European Social Fund and Skills Funding Agency.

Business2Business is aimed at those aged 16 - 24 years living within the Melton Borough. Signing up to the project will mean you get your own mentor who will support you in to employment, education or training, through regular contact either face-to-face or over the phone. Whilst working on the project you will also be able to attend various workshops and courses to enhance your skillset, courses include:

  • 1-day Confidence & Motivation Workshop - aimed at boosting your confidence, self-esteem and motivation the interactive workshop will help you to learn self-improvement techniques and skills to enable and support personal growth and wellbeing.
  • Preparing for Work Workshop - aims to introduce you to the selection process from making the initial job application through to a successful interview performance. You will gain a knowledge and understanding of how to create a CV, write a covering letter and develop effective interview techniques, all of which are really important when competing in the current job market.
  • Personal Development Course - carried out over a series of workshops the course aims to improve your time and stress management, improve your confidence and support you to gain an understanding of career change and work to fulfill your aspirations.
  • Pre-Employment Training - We often run pre-employment training in partnership with the local Job Centre and businesses and those who are working on the Business2Business project will be considered and put forward for any relevant training agreed with their mentor.

Working with a Business2Business mentor you will also gain a wider level of support around the following:

  • Benefits
  • Housing
  • Money Management & Budgeting
  • Mental Health
  • Drug & Alcohol
  • Upskilling, English, Maths & IT courses available locally

Once working with your mentor you will agree an action plan and begin working together to address various support needs and when you both feel the time is right you will then begin to move towards preparing and looking for work. Once in to education, employment or training your mentor will continue to be on hand to support you.
