Melton’s Farmers Market Traders need your help to design them a logo - Deadline Extended !

The traders of Melton’s Farmers Market are looking for a new cohesive identity and are calling on the community of Melton to help them design a new logo which will be eye catching and synonymous to Melton Mowbray.

The market, which is held on Tuesday and Friday’s at the Livestock Market, is a hidden gem of specialist and unique stalls selling local produce and hand crafted gifts. The word needs to be spread about the market’s popularity and the traders have agreed that’s it’s time to get themselves known and have decided to extend the deadline on the competition for the local community to come up with a design for a new logo which can be used on new signs, leaflets, banners and online promotions.

The competition is open to any resident, of any age, who resides within the Borough of Melton and may be submitted by an individual, a group or by a school. The logo must contain the words ‘Melton Mowbray Farmers Market’. The logo can be designed on a computer and printed off on the Entry Form or hand drawn straight onto the entry forms

Entry Forms and full conditions can be obtained from the traders themselves on a Tuesday or Friday, the Livestock Market Office, Parkside reception or downloaded from the Melton Borough Council website: http://www.melton.gov.uk/downloads/download/609/farmers_market_logo_competition_form

The closing date for entries is now end SEPTEMBER 2015 !

The winner will receive a hamper containing a wide variety of produce from the stall holders plus extra special prizes for the younger entrants ! All finalists will be invited to a Launch Event planned for the Summer with a local celebrity.

Traders are urging local residents, young and old, to get their creative juices flowing and send in their suggestions to help them create the identity they deserve !
