Innovative Recruitment Programme with Local Employer gets underway

Published Friday, 26th February 2016

Work Skills Programme leading to guaranteed interviews

Recruitment for the 5-Week Work Skills Programme, which would see participants get a guaranteed interview and potentially paid employment for exceptional candidates with a local employer, took place on Saturday 13th February at Phoenix House.

Intrigue around the Formula 1 car parked in the Phoenix House car park attracted an array of people and gave an insight into the exciting world of composite manufacturing.

The Partnership venture with KS Composites, Melton Borough Council and Loughborough College saw 15 great candidates accepted and start the Programme on Monday 22nd February.

Ian Saunders, Training Manager of KS Composites said “We were very pleased with all those who made an effort to attend on Saturday and fingers crossed they will achieve great things as part of this program”.

This is an exciting opportunity for people looking to start a career in a niche sector industry or upskill themselves to be able to secure new career opportunities. The fully funded programme will hopefully pave the way for similar exciting ventures working with local employers in the future.
