LCC Cabinet backs Melton relief roadPublished Monday, 9th May 2016
Proposals for an £83 million eastern relief road in Melton, to ease congestion and boost the economy by £102 million per year, have been backed by the county council’s cabinet.
Councillor Pam Posnett, Deputy Leader for Melton Borough Council said
"“The County Council has now given its support to the development of an Eastern Bypass. This will enable the creation of an economic corridor around the Town connecting residents to high quality jobs and with improved access to retail, education and leisure facilities. This is an important step towards achieving the growth needed to support the Town and Borough’s economy in line with the Councils emerging Local Plan.”
