Nominate your young person of the year 2017Published Friday, 23rd December 2016
Help Lady Gretton, Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire celebrate the achievements of young people across the city and county by nominating an inspiring young person for this year’s awards.
Each year, the Lord-Lieutenant celebrates the achievements of young people across the city and county.
The award scheme is open to all 13 to 19 year olds living in Leicester and Leicestershire. Individuals can be nominated by other young people, their school, parent or carer, as well as any other agency or individual.
People can nominate their Young Braveheart, Young Volunteer, Young Sports-person and Young Artist. For 2017, a special category will commemorate the centenary of the First World War. This award will be given to someone who investigates and presents a piece of creative research using any method including video, podcast, blog, or report. The project must be inspired by the story of the 5th Northern General Hospital – now the Fielding Johnson Building at the University of Leicester.
The closing date for this year’s nominations for Braveheart, Volunteer, Sports-person and Artist categories is 31 January 2017. Entries for the special category Young Investigator of the Year are welcome until 17 February 2017.
