Would you like to decide how money is spent within your local area and improve services which are important to you, your family and your local community?

Would you like to contribute to making your community safer, ensuring there are homes for everyone and improving where you live? Perhaps you would like to be involved in regenerating the town centre and promoting tourism within the Borough? If so, you can make a real difference to Melton!

Now is a great time to get involved as Borough and Parish Elections are coming up in May 2019.

To find out more about the Borough and Parish Councillor role and how to apply, the Council is running a special event on Tuesday 6 November at 6 p.m. at the Melton Borough Council Offices, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray.

To book in contact democracy@melton.gov.uk or ring 01664 502441.

Edd de Coverly, Chief Executive and Returning Officer for Melton Borough Council, said: “Local Councils deliver vital public services and can make a positive difference to the area and the communities they serve. Becoming a councillor means you can shape these services and represent your communities, ensuring their voice is heard across a wider range of issues. I would encourage anyone who wants to find out more about becoming a councillor to attend this event.”
