Melton Borough Council's Neighbourhood Support Officers to host a Rural Crime BreakfastPublished Monday, 22nd October 2018
Melton Borough Council’s new Neighbourhood Support Officers continue to present exciting and free events in accessible locations to the whole borough.
The Neighbourhood Support Officers have an important role to play in engagement and connectivity with the residents and community groups of The Melton Borough. They have a broad remit to listen, support, work with, educate, and empower residents from all walks of life.
The latest offering in their community engagement is a Rural Crime Breakfast being hosted by Melton Cattle Market and supported by The NFU and The Farmers Community Network.
This event is not all about the pastries and coffee but is open to everyone and will have Rural Crime Officers from across the Midlands talking about security and safety in your environment as well as looking at launching a community WhatsApp group.
Speakers from Barclays Bank, CrimeStoppers, DataTag and others will be on hand to offer professional advice and answer all your safety concerns.
Councillor Malise Graham, responsible for Borough Community Safety as well as his rural ward, says “The Neighbourhood Support Officers are committed to involving and enabling the community to shape their environments and to reduce the opportunity for crime – this is a fantastic chance for our residents to share their experiences with professionals first hand in a relaxed atmosphere”.
To attend, simply pop into the Banqueting Suite on Tuesday the 13th of November 2018 between 8:45 and 11:30 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
