Melton Community Lottery Easter giveaway - Saturday 20 April 2019Published Monday, 15th April 2019
The Melton Community Lottery is getting ready to celebrate Easter by giving away an Amazon Fire HD8 with Alexa!
The additional prize draw will take place on Saturday 20 April 2019 and will be available to anyone who has signed up to the online lottery by 8pm that day.
The Melton Community Lottery currently supports 41 local good causes including disability groups, animal charities, sports clubs, youth clubs, theatre groups and schools. Under the scheme, sixty pence in every pound goes directly to a good cause and the remaining costs go towards the running costs and prize fund.
As a player, you can choose to either support a favourite local cause or alternatively support the general good cause fund, which is administered by an external independent marketing agency that provides vital support to a wide range of local organisations.
Weekly prizes range from free tickets with two or more numbers, up to a jackpot prize of a whopping £25,000 for a match of six numbers in a row and it has still not been claimed!
Some of the most popular good causes voted for to date include: Belvoir Cricket & Countryside Trust, 1279 Melton Squadron Air Training Corps, Melton Mencap and Melton Scouts. The money raised so far is intended to be used for a wide range of activities to support local causes.
Melton Borough Council’s Chief Executive, Edd de Coverly said: “The Community Lottery is a fantastic initiative that helps to raise funds for local groups and organisations. We hope that even more members of the community will get involved with the scheme and help support the many worthwhile good causes across the Melton Borough”.
