Can you support MISPA in making Melton the most inclusive place in Leicestershire for sport and physical activity?Published Wednesday, 22nd January 2020
Melton Inclusive Sport & Physical Activity (MISPA) is a new steering group which aims to achieve exactly this.
They are looking for clubs, groups, organisations and individuals to support them in reaching their goal.
The MISPA steering group is a partnership between Melton Borough Council, Melton and Belvoir School Sport and Physical Activity Network, Leicestershire and Rutland Sport, The Lodge Trust, Belvoir Cricket and Countryside Trust and Melton Mencap.
MISPA are inviting you to attend the ‘MISPA Community Evening’ to find out who they are and how they support your organisation. There will be an opportunity to find out about:
- Funding opportunities
- Training and development for coaches and volunteers
- Marketing and promotion
- Networking with the local community
- As well as having your say to help shape the work MISPA does
The evening is open to everyone: clubs, groups, organisations, families, and individuals alike, to come and find out about the work we are doing and how this may support or benefit you.
Cllr Alan Pearson, the portfolio holder for Housing and Communities said: ”The community evening is a valuable step in helping to tackle inequality and supporting inclusive growth in terms of sport and physical activity for the Melton Borough. The evening is a chance to find out about what support is available for local clubs, groups and organisations, as well as individuals and families to find out about inclusive activities which are already taking place within the Borough. Come and have your say in shaping future work of the Melton Inclusive Sport & Physical Activity steering group!”
When: Monday 27th January 2020, 6-8pm
Where: Parkside Council Building, Burton Street, LE13 1GH
MISPA are also looking for stall holders to promote sessions which are already taking place and to share best practice, so if you are able to do this please get in touch.
