Our first Community Forum on 7th OctoberPublished Monday, 1st September 2014
We will be holding our first Community Forum on 7th October and what to know what you want to discuss.
The Community Forum is an open public meeting for all residents, businesses and community groups in the Borough who want to help shape and improve the locality. It is an opportunity for local people to meet with councillors and officers of the Council to discuss important issues affecting the local area.
We are currently asking citizens to identify the issues they would like to discuss at the Community Forum. Examples of issues already raised have included local transport, access to broadband and the future role of voluntary and community support groups.
Cllr Byron Rhodes, Leader of the Council said
“This is the first time Melton Borough Council has planned a local Community Forum and I am looking forward to hearing what matters the local community want to discuss. If this event is a success and there is good support from local residents, groups and business we hope to hold more in the future.”
Any one interested in putting forward a matter for discussion at the Community Forum should do so before the 18th September by completing the online form or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The Community Forum will take place at the Council Offices, Parkside, Station Approach, Melton Mowbray on Tuesday 7th October starting at 6pm. This is an open meeting, no requirement to pre book.
