How to Get Involved

Melton Borough Council wants to work with you so that we can understand the housing and community issues and aspirations that are important to you and your community.

Resident Involvement gives you the opportunity to influence the services that you receive from us and gives you the chance to make a real difference to your neighbourhood.

We aim to offer you a range of ways to have a say in how services are delivered and to influence how the quality of services is improved. Find out more by clicking on the tabs above.

People who become involved should not suffer any financial loss so Melton Borough Council will reimburse out of pocket expenses, such as bus fares or child care.

We also want to ensure that all our tenants and residents can have equal opportunities to be involved and will offer assistance to help meet the diverse needs of our tenants and residents. This could be by supplying a translator for meetings or offering assistance with transport for tenants with disabilities.

Getting involved brings lots of rewards. You can meet new people, learn new skills and directly change how services are provided to improve homes and communities. Getting involved also increases opportunities to participate in other groups and with other forums, both locally and nationally.

If you would like more information on getting involved, or have any ideas on other ways we could involve our tenants and residents in improving and delivering our services, please contact the Resident Involvement Officer on 01664 502 502.
