TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

B676 SAXBY ROAD, MELTON MOWBRAY

 

Leicestershire County Council will be carrying out carriageway strengthening and resurfacing works over a series of forthcoming weekends which will entail the closure of a length of the B676 Saxby Road in the vicinity of the junction with Lag Lane.

 

The works are being restricted to Saturday nights and Sundays (between Midnight on the Saturday and approximately 20.00hrs on the Sunday) in an attempt to minimise any potential nuisance caused, and are programmed for the following dates:

 

Saturday/Sunday 11th/12th Feb;18th/19th Feb; and then again on Sunday 25th March and Sunday 1st April.

 

Please note that these dates are subject to the weather being favourable so may be subject to change, but actual dates will be displayed on signs erected on site.

 

During the closure of the Saxby Road, the signed alternative route for all through traffic will be via the B676, the A1, the A607, and vice versa.  Light, local traffic will be able to go via Stapleford and the A606 Oakham Road.

Lag Lane traffic will be able to use Woodfold Lane and the A607.

 

Our Contractors have been asked to make every effort to reopen the road as soon as possible to minimize any inconvenience caused by the works.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

Park Road & Beacon Road in the Town of Loughborough.  These Roads will be closed for remedial works to the traffic calming.  The closure is planned for Beacon Road (between Epinal Way & Holt Drive) from 13/02/201 for 3 days and on Park Road (between Beacon Road & Burton Street) for 2 days from 16/02/2012

 

During this time a signed diversion will be set up via

ADVANCE NOTICE OF A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

 

Works are due to take place in Saxelby & Shoby, by Laing O’ Rouke on behalf of Seven Trent Water, on Saxelby Park Road Saxelby & Main Street Shoby, which will entail the closure of that length of these roads whilst new water mains works are in progress.

 

It is anticipated that works will commence on 20/02/2012 and last for 3 weeks, a Press Release will be issued shortly before works start to confirm these details.

 

During the closure, all through-bound traffic will be diverted via

• ASFORDBY: A6006 – Loughborough Road; Saxelby Road
• SAXELBY: Saxelby Park Road (closed at the junction with Saxelby Lane) & Vice Versa
