Melton welcomes the festive season

Christmas arrives in Melton this December with multiple events running throughout the town. The festive season kicks off with the return of the Melton Mowbray Christmas Market from Friday 2 December to Sunday 4 December. The Christmas Market will run from 10am until 8pm on Friday, with late night shopping available, and from 10am until 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

International Fraud Awareness Week (13-19 November 2022) is an opportunity for organisations and communities to come together to look at how far reaching the effects of fraud can be. Billions of pounds are estimated to be lost to fraud against public services in the UK.

At a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday 12 October, Melton Borough Council has agreed to explore the establishment of a Strategic Partnership arrangement with Harborough District Council which could see the two councils working more closely for the benefit of both councils and their communities by next year.
